School Rules & Regulations

At Jaihind International School – Hongasandra, discipline and responsibility are key pillars of our educational philosophy. All students are expected to follow the rules and regulations outlined below to maintain a respectful, safe, and conducive learning environment.

1. Attendance & Punctuality

• Students must attend school regularly and arrive on time.

• A minimum of 85% attendance is required to be eligible for examinations.

• Leave of absence must be submitted in writing and approved by the class teacher or principal.

• Frequent or unexplained absences may lead to disciplinary action.

2. Dress Code & Grooming

• All students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and with pride.

• Hair should be clean, well-kept, and tidy. Boys must maintain a short haircut.

• Wearing of fancy accessories, expensive jewelry, or makeup is not permitted.

3. Classroom Behavior

• Students should respect teachers, staff, and peers at all times.

• Mobile phones, smartwatches, and other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited in classrooms.

• Any form of cheating, copying, or dishonesty in academics is punishable.

4. Discipline & Conduct

• Bullying, use of foul language, physical violence, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.

• Students must maintain silence and discipline in corridors, classrooms, and during school assemblies.

• Damage to school property must be compensated by the student(s) responsible.

5. Use of School Property

• Students should treat all school property – furniture, labs, library books, sports equipment – with care and responsibility.

• Vandalism, graffiti, or misuse of school infrastructure will attract strict disciplinary measures.

6. Health & Hygiene

• Students must maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness.

• Littering within school premises is strictly prohibited.

• Sharing of food, water bottles, or personal belongings is discouraged for hygiene purposes.

7. Communication

• Any communication from the school to parents will be sent via official school channels. Parents are expected to check and respond promptly.

• Students must not bring unauthorized notes or materials from outside without approval.

8. Transportation

• Students using school transport must maintain discipline in the bus.

• Any misconduct in school vehicles may result in suspension from transport services.

9. Visitors & Security

• Students are not allowed to leave the school campus during school hours without prior written permission from the parent and approval from the principal.

• Parents/guardians must carry valid ID when visiting the school.

10. Compliance

• Repeated violations of school rules may lead to suspension or expulsion.

• The school management reserves the right to amend these rules as necessary.
